Wow! Fabulous location with great hosting. The meet and greet by Sophy made us feel welcome immediately. This luxury villa caters to your every whim with high-end finishes and fixtures. I cannot recommend Seagull View more highly, and we will definitely visit again.
The ad on booking.com and TripAdvisor is absolute nonsense. Booked, paid and then the messages come: you’ve been placed in the ‘nest executive suite’ - which is a 3m x 3m room next to the domestic room that receives you and it has no aircon. The ads all mention ‘The entire villa at your disposal, no shared spaces and uninterrupted bliss’ - this is simply a lie as we shared with a family of 8 and another couple that seemed to draw the large upstairs space. Most disappointed and frankly would advise against this property. They certainly seem to prey on people passing through and frankly it’s terrible.
Nonsense place this one. What is advertised is not what you get. The place is highly unkept, no aircon and is very stuffy. The onsite manager Sophie cannot even communicate properly and/clearly. The only thing she will tell you is that the owner is in Germany which doesn’t help with any queries you have. We had to cancel our booking due to the itchiness we both got from the place just from stepping inside and were refused a refund even though we didn’t even stay for a night there. This just destroyed our entire experience of Margate. I wish this property would be removed from every booking platform because they are scammers and their place is more of a commune than a holiday place until they can renovate and fix it to match their price.
Unfortunately my experience with this property was below par. The owner mismanaged our reservation. We were left stranded without accommodation due to negligence of the owner. His inability to manage multiple bookings effectively resulted in my family and I not having accommodation for 2 nights. The staff onsite were unable to communicate efficiently. I do not recommend reserving at this site.

Excellent place to stay in Margate, South Coast, KZN. Offers direct view of the sea from the patio. Sophie is an excellent host with great personality and always helpful and always willing to go the xtra mile for her guests. Just struggled with aircon in the midst of a very fierce heat wave but Sophie provided a fan which helped a little but the heat was still bad, day and night, indoors and outdoors.
Great location and beautiful surrounding atmosphere. I love that it is child friendly. Everything about this place was exceptional. It was clean, and it has a lovely homely feel, well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

The customer service that we experienced was incredible, to say the least. The host, Sophie was absolutely amazing. She accommodated us in every way imaginable, always ready to help and be of assistance. She is a gem to this Villa. 10/10 rating for everything. Extremely great value for money, our Villa was even upgraded due to no other bookings over our stay. We are very sad to leave but will definitely be back in the future.
